Maskmaking Workshop

Come join in in the fun!

Join us for a fun and creative Mask Making Workshop!

Get ready to unleash your artistic side and design your very own unique mask - creating a piece of art using a replica of your face. You decide how traditional or wild you want your mask to be. Plaster gauze will be our medium, along with paint and many decorations – too numerous to list. You will leave this workshop with a unique mask all of your own making.

Whether you're a beginner or an experienced artist, this class is perfect for everyone. Our talented instructors will guide you through the process, providing tips and tricks to help you create a masterpiece. From colorful feathers to sparkling sequins, we'll have a wide range of materials for you to choose from.

Not only will you learn the art of mask making, but you'll also have a great time connecting with fellow creative individuals. This is a fantastic opportunity to socialize, exchange ideas, and make new friends who share your passion for art.

Don't miss out on this exciting event! Grab your friends and family, and join us for a memorable day of creativity and fun. Reserve your spot now and let your imagination run wild!

The workshop will be led by artists Carol Swanson and Nancy Kees Dunn, members of our Gallery Committee.

Bring your own lunch and any ideas/decorations you'd like to use. Photos of examples are great to bring! Using gauze we'll make a mask of your face, and then you can embellish it in a variety of ways.

Class size is limited to 16 people. Materials included. Class tuition fee is $70 for OCA members, $80 non- members. Questions? Email gallery@occidentalcenterforthearts.org
