Vivid imagery, humor in the ordinary, and the complexities of intimate relationships propel Marylu Downing's writing.  Her fiction, poetry, art, memoir, essays and short stories have been published in books, anthologies, in newspapers, online, and magazines. Her most recent book, Pink Paisley Scarf is a work of fiction.  

Marylu was a long time resident of the Occidental community, and a board member at the inception of Occidental Center for the Arts. She brought book launches to OCA. Marylu now lives in Avila Beach, California.  with her husband Roger House.

After selected readings, the author will be in conversation with Patrick Fanning, author, publisher and President of the OCA Board. Q&A with the audience.
