Pianist Abbie Gabrielson returns to OCA, this time bringing with her the multi-talented cellist Carol Anne Bosco. Since meeting in graduate school at the University of Maryland, Abbie and Carol Anne have shared a passion for musical collaboration. Though now located in California and Washington D. C. respectively, they have developed a bicoastal project, kicking off with a series of October shows here in Sonoma County, culminating in this OCA performance!
“Our goal is to present exciting, accessible programs, rooted in our joyful love of making music together. Our programs combine traditional classical repertoire with music by underplayed and contemporary composers. We commit to performing at least one piece by a woman composer on every program. We believe it is vital to build a relationship with our audiences by sharing, from the stage, how we think about music and how our understanding develops through the rehearsal process. Bringing our programs to both coasts allows us to connect our communities through music.”
